Dear Baby Love--
I decided to start this blog for you. It's a way for Dad and I to reflect in the time you are growing in my belly. Hopefully, one day, in like 15 years we can share it with you- by then you might understand what most of the stuff means.
We found out the Saturday before Father's Day that you were there. I took "the" test without your Dad being here (he told me to), which is kind of funny because I had a minor freak out moment by myself. It's okay though, it wasn't a bad freak out moment, it was more like an okay this is really happening kind of moment.
We told your grandparents and aunt and uncles the next day on Father's Day which was a lot of fun. Gran Jan didn't believe you were real, it took some convincing by a picture of "the" test to prove you to her. Now, she already loves you unconditionally; and I am pretty sure that all of your grandparents and aunt and uncles do too.
Now, we wait till February 20, 2012 to get to hold you for the first time and since I've never really had any practice with babies (still never even changed a diaper) I am going to need that long to figure some things out. I promise I will figure it out by then, but thanks for giving me almost 9 months notice-- I'm gonna need it!
Your Dad and I joke that you will probably join us on Valentine's Day (which is cool with us) so we named you Baby Love until we know if you are a little boy or girl. I'm sure Baby Love will probably stick though, so I apologize if you think that's your name. Sorry for the confusion! We find out if you are Tynleigh Grace or Luke Willson in just a little over a week (I can't freakin' wait) so I hope you are ready to show us the goods on the 28th, please and thanks. Oh, and I apologize again for the crazy spelling of what will be your name, so let me explain. I wanted a fun spelling for Tynleigh if you are a girl, I think it looks really pretty and your auntie Erica's middle name is spelled Leigh so she can help you out with that. And, Willson, well, that's how you spell that side of your family's name- 2 L's. So, in other words, you will probably always have to spell out your name (including Kogler) to E-V-E-R-Y-B-O-D-Y.
We love you Baby Love, more than words can express, and we pray for you everyday. Until next time, I love you!
Love,
Mom and Dad
